This tutorial is for instructors who have been chosen to manage a course for their flight school's Readiness Exam.
As an instructor for a flight school Readiness Exam, you will be able to create an account on Sharper Edge Solutions Online Resource, check student grades, supply students with an "ENROLMENT KEY" and unenrol students when they retake the same readiness exam.
For a tutorial on how to use an "ENROLMENT KEY" as a student, visit the Readiness Exam Student Manual: Here.
The tutorial will cover the following items:
Start by going to Sharper Edge Solution's Online Resource.
Then click "Login" at the top right of the screen.
Click the "Create new account" button to sign up for an account.
Enter the required information then click "Create my new account" button.
An email will be sent to your entered email address. If you do not receive this email, please contact the site administrator at email@example.com. You may close the page below once you receive the email.
The email will contain a link to complete account registration. Follow the link in the email or copy and paste it in the browser window to complete registration and login.
Your registration has been successfully confirmed. You may now click on the "Courses" button and continue to enrol in your Flight School.
Now that you have successfully signed up and logged in, navigate to the Readiness Exams page. As an instructor, it is necessary that you enrol in your flight school's course to be granted access of student enrolment keys and grades. Take note of the name of your flight school as it is required when you E-mail the Moodle Administrator.
Next you will need to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject "Moodle Instructor Request Readiness Exam". In this email you will need to include: First Name, Surname, E-mail, and Fight School.
The Instructor request will take up to 48 hours to process. Once you receive this email, you are ready to use Moodle.
Each student requires an "ENROLMENT KEY" to write a readiness exam. The "ENROLMENT KEY" is a unique, one time use key that can be found under "Enrolled users" in your Flight School's course. The key will allow one student to write one Readiness Exam. For a student to rewrite a Readiness Exam, they must be supplied with a new "Enrolment Key".
If the student has not been automatically unenrolled from the course, then they need to be unenrolled by the instructor before being given another "Enrolment Key".
NOTE: Students who are rewriting should be automatically unenrolled by the exam server. If the automatic unenrolment does not work for some reason, then the instructor will have to manually unenrol the student as per the procedure below.
Under "My courses" in the top left of the screen, select the appropriate course.
Once in your Flight School course, in the "Administration" Panel on the right side of the screen. Click on "Users".
On the same panel click on "Enrolled users".
This page has two features:
If you clicked on the "X" to unenrol a student, this page will load. Click on "Continue" to confirm unenrolling the student.
The student has been successfully unenroled.
Begin by logging into your Moodle account navigating to Readiness Exam page and clicking on your associated flight school's course.
Click on the exam to navigate to the exam page.
In the right side "Administration" panel under Quiz Administration click on "Results".
This page will display all the attempts of students and their grades.
